Shopping in New Albany, IN April 12th 2014 we came across this very old seemingly plated silver dish. While going through the pile of mostly rubbish we found that this dish had a hail mark of a crown and a few other little signature's. We then knew something was different about this item. We offered the seller $5.00 and they said ok. We bought it home on that journey and did our homework. It ended up being an 1850 Regency Silver, sterling silver platter weighing a whopping 17.9 Troy oz. We sold this item for $ 321.00 in Early April, 2014!
